Two-month monitoring report available for liver distribution

A data report addressing key measures of the acuity circles liver distribution system is available in the Liver and Intestine section of Resources on the OPTN website. The report compares donation and transplant activity under the policy to representative periods of time prior to the policy’s implementation on February 4, 2020.

Given that the policy was in place only a short time before impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, many of the tables and charts specifically note activity before and after the World Health Organization’s declaration of the pandemic on March 11, 2020.

Additional monitoring reports will be posted to reflect later results.
