New video explains lung Composite Allocation Score

A new animated video is now available on the OPTN website to describe the formula  used in the new lung allocation policy that took effect March 9, 2023. 

The brief video is designed in particular for the needs of transplant candidates and their caregivers to explain in plain language how the lung Composite Allocation Score (CAS) is calculated. The video also directs viewers to the lung CAS sample calculator on the OPTN website.
