Modeling results available for liver proposal

The Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients (SRTR) has released an initial set of liver simulation modeling results relating to the current public comment proposal to enhance liver distribution.  The modeling is an update of earlier results cited in the proposal.  The proposed policy changes are intended to decrease geographic variation in liver transplant access without significantly affecting travel distance or percentage of organ offers flown.

The updated modeling results have been appended to the proposal, accessible on the OPTN website.

The modeling results currently available include the key metrics identified by the OPTN/UNOS Liver and Intestinal Organ Transplantation Committee.  Additional analysis will be provided as soon as it is available.
