Input to be sought on OPTN strategic plan

The Executive Committee, on behalf of the OPTN Board of Directors, is currently building a new Strategic Plan to guide the organization for the next three years. The plan provides prioritization, guides high level decisions, and directs resource allocation.

Over the past summer, the Board of Directors brainstormed and discussed priorities. Themes were then discussed with the organ donation and transplant community, including patients, donor families, and living donors. The Executive Committee is currently preparing a draft plan.

The draft Strategic Plan will be open for public comment in January 2024. It will serve as a map to help prioritize the OPTN’s work through 2027. Read more information on the 2024-2027 Strategic Plan.
