Center code required for OPTN label orders

Published on: Saturday, November 9, 2019

Beginning Jan.1, 2020, an OPTN center code will be required before an organ transport label order can be placed or fulfilled. After Dec. 31, 2019, individuals requesting labels will be asked to update their account when placing an order. The OPTN label ordering site is for members only.

Company name and a professional email address will be a requirement before an OPTN label order can be placed. If a residential address is selected for shipping, the request will be reviewed and verified before the order is fulfilled.

As a reminder, only OPTN organ labels may be used for organ transport beginning Jan. 1, 2020. UNOS-branded organ labels will no longer be valid after Dec. 31, 2019.

OPTN organ transport labels are available at no cost to members, including shipping. OPTN policy requirements for labeling, packaging and shipping organs and extra vessels remain the same. Learn more about OPTN policy on organ and vessel labels.
