The new kidney allocation system: basic preparations

These webinars discusses fundamental changes in the kidney allocation system and provide basic information to prepare transplant professionals for implementation of the new policy requirements.

This program will:

  • Explain the new kidney allocation policy and its goals;
  • Summarize the changes in allocation components for deceased donor kidneys;
  • Discuss the impact of these policy changes for kidney transplant programs, OPOs, and laboratories; and
  • Highlight tools and resources to be made available that will assist programs in preparing for the new system.
