Amy B. Hahn, Ph.D., D(ABHI), is associate professor in the department of surgery and director of the transplantation immunology laboratory at Albany Medical College in Albany, N.Y.

She has served as a histocompatibility elector for OPTN/UNOS region 9 as well as a national histocompatibility elector.

Dr. Hahn is president of the American Board of Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ABHI) and president-elect of the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) as well as chair of its external affairs committee. She is on the advisory board of the Center for Donation and Transplant in Albany and also has been on the board of directors of LifePoint (formerly, the South Carolina Organ Procurement Agency). She has served two terms as chair of ABHI's director credentials and directors examination committees and as commissioner of ASHI's accreditation review board.

She earned a doctoral degree in immunology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.
