Steven M. Rudich, M.D., Ph.D., is professor of surgery, liver transplant and hepatobiliary surgery at University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
He is a member of the OPTN/UNOS membership and professional standards committee (MPSC) as well as its policy compliance subcommittee and its tiered acceptance and composite pretransplant metrics work groups. He serves on the review board (liver) for his region. He also has been a member of the organ availability, operations and safety, and liver and intestinal transplantation committees as well as of the DSA productivity task force.
In addition, he is serving his second term as chair of the liver transplant committee of the Ohio Solid Organ Transplantation Consortium. He is on the LifeCenter medical advisory board, recently completing a term as chair, and on its medical governance committee. He also has served on the medical advisory board of Golden State Donor Services and the American Liver Foundation-Ohio chapter. He has served on the American Society of Transplant Surgeons' (ASTS') awards, newsletter and standards on organ procurement committees.
Dr. Rudich earned a medical degree and a doctoral degree in microbiology from Mount Sinai School of Medicine/City University of New York.
